So I can't get into the server, it says "Found server"...

So normally I wouldn't post about this because I've heard it's a common issue but I tried it on a different device as well and it had the same "Found server" error. Everything else on my wifi works too and everything is functional.
I've been trying for about 30 minutes now, what happened? I just finished building a house and I got disconnected.
If anyone else is having issues or has solved the issue please let me know so I can continue playing.

EDIT: Now it's stuck on "Connecting to ___". Why..?

Also I forgot to mention. I have shut off my computer and restarted terraria.

SOMEONE HELP
It let me into the server but now EVERYTHING is gone. I mean E V E R Y T H I N G.
I don't have any copper tools or a shortsword.
My character is back to the default
Nobody is in the server...
Someone please help, my house is in space.
